New South Wales is home to a long list of first class racecourses including Royal Randwick and the picturesque Rosehill Gardens. Here, some of the country’s most prestigious races take place including the AJC Australian Derby and the Golden Slipper Stakes.

Majority of racecourses in NSW host at least one racing carnival and the larger clubs will host both autumn and spring racing carnivals. Sydney Spring Carnivals always occur before the Melbourne Spring Carnival as majority of trainers will want their horses to attend both events.

There are plenty of local racetracks across the state for anyone interested in seeing a smaller and more local race meet.
