Local Perth talent Hay List is geared up for this Saturday?s Group Three Colonel Reeves Stakes with an unbeaten career record to back him up.
Trained by Jim Taylor, the four year old has won all his eight starts however this Saturday?s $200,000 event will be his first stakes-grade race.
Carrying only 53.5kg in the event, Hay List will still be one of the favourites for the 1100m race.
The Group Two West Australian Guineas will be missing unbeaten star Waratah?s Secret as the gelding?s trainer doesn?t think the horse will handle the longer distance of 1600m.
Although David Harrison?s three year old has won all four of his races including the Listed Belgravia and Fairetha Stakes, he is more suited to shorter distances under 1400m.
Saturday will also feature the Group Three R.J. Peters Stakes (1500m) which is a qualifying race for the Railway Stakes and the Listed Jungle Mist Classic (1200m) for fillies and mares.
