God Has Spoken Wins 2010 R.J. Peters Stakes Racing into Railway Stakes Field

Neville Parnham’s stable star God Has Spoken claimed a well-deserved win at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday November 13, taking out the $125,000 Group 3 R.J. Peters Stakes (1500m) and earning a spot in the Railway Stakes field this weekend.

The victory was one of four for local trainer Parham on WA Guineas Day including his success in the day’s marquee race, the Group 2 W.A. Guineas (1600m) with God Has Spoken’s full brother Playing God.

In the R.J. Peters Stakes, Blackfriars four-year-old God Has Spoken started as the $3.10 favourite and in a win for the punters was able to defeat Ranger ($9.50) by a head with Darren McAuliffe’s mare Impressive Jeuney ($3.80) one and a quarter lengths away for third.

God Has Spoken has now won six of their 23 career starts for an impressive $628,950 in prize money.

Next on the agenda is this Saturday’s $1 million Group 1 Railway Stakes (1600m) where God Has Spoken could face the likes of Snipers Bullet, Triple Honour, Black Piranha and their brother Playing God.

Previously sitting 35th on the Railway Stakes order of entry, God Has Spoken earned a ballot exemption and raced into contention with their R.J. Peters Stakes win.

God Has Spoken will then head to the other Perth Group 1, the Kingston Town Classic on December 4 after finishing second to Sniper’s Bullet in the event last year.

Other races on the agenda for God Has Spoken during the Ascot Carnival include Group 2 CB Cox Stakes (2100m) on December 18 and then the Group 2 Perth Cup (2400m) on January 1.
