Peter Snowden has trained plenty of winners over the years and today he’s given himself two genuine chances at taking out Light Fingers Stakes glory.
Parables and Obsequious are both good quality fillies who clinched first up Group 3 wins coming into the spring.
The three-year-old Obsequious has eight races under her belt coming away with two wins and two placings.
Parables holds a better record after never missing the placings from her seven starts, although she’s only notched up the same number of wins.
At Luxbet punters have made that distinction in form backing Parables into $3.30 with Obsequious at longer odds of $5 fixed price.
Snowden agrees with the bookies and thinks Parables will return the better of the two.
“I think Parables is probably a bit better than last preparation, she’s definitely more forward than she was first-up last time and she’s a bit stronger,” Snowden said.
“She’ll run well.”
The filly they are all trying to beat though is red hot favourite Red Tracer now steady at $2.50 fixed.
If you think you can split the two Snowden trained fillies choose the bookie that offers you more at Luxbet. It could make for a smart quinella with a little bit of value about it as well!
