Shinn had previously won on the Peter and Paul Snowden trained two year old Attention in the Group 3 $150,000 The Schweppervescence (1400m) and on Malaguerra for Lee and Anthony Freedman in the Group 3 $150,000 Star Kingdom Stakes (1200m).

Zanbagh ($11) was having her third run back from a spell and Shinn brought her with a well timed run to score a half a length win over $31 outsider Supara with Amicus ($21) running on solidly down the middle of the track for third.

The Bernadini mare had been highly regard as a wet tracker but trainer John Thompson said she also had good form on dry tracks as she displayed on Good 3 Rosehill surface today.

“Her first two runs have terrific on dry track. We were actually going to miss today’s run and go straight into the Queen Of The Turf, thinking that it would be hard again here today,” Thompson said.

“She is going so well, we had to run her, she is just striving.”

Zanbagh will now head towards the Group 1 $1m Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) at Randwick on the second day off ‘The Championships’ in a fortnight.

“She goes to the Queen Of The Turf now,” Thompson said.

“She hasn’t missed a beat since she has been here.’
“I have kept her really fresh. She is going very well.”

Race favourite Solicit ($2.10) had to work hard in the early stages but couldn’t find the front and after sitting outside the leader faded in the straight to finish in twelfth position.
