Due to run as Gold Coast Race 8 at 3:55pm (AEST), a capacity field is engaged for the Restricted Listed Jeep Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) and two hopes are fighting for top spot in betting at Ladbrokes.com.au.

In the latest Magic Millions 2YO Classic odds From Within and Houtzen share $4.20 favouritism, the fillies drawn opposite ends of the field.

Chris Waller saddles-up From Within from barrier seven – possibly into four – with Hugh Bowman aboard the lightly-raced daughter of Not A Single Doubt.

She is out to be the first Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner to do so at just her second start after winning on debut impressively at Canterbury on New Year’s Day.

In 2012 No Looking Back was second-up and beat all her Magic Millions Classic rivals, but lost the race on protest to stablemate Driefontein.

Houtzen has had two runs for two wins and is locally trained by Toby Edmonds.

The I Am Invincible filly won convincingly by four and a half-lengths at the track last weekend and is on the quick back-up, drawn the outside alley on the weekend.

Two before her have won the race on a seven day turnaround and the key for jockey Jeff Lloyd will be to have her pinging out the gates to get up front from the horror draw.

So will the best two in Magic Millions 2YO Classic betting run the quinella or is the value in tipping the likes of Chris Munce’s unbeaten market mover Ours To Keep ($6) from his gun barrier or the Wyong Magic Millions Classic winner Madeenaty ($7) from the inside alley?

Our 2017 Magic Millions Classic Trifecta Tip is #1 Ours To Keep from #8 Madeenaty and #10 Invincible Star

1st

#1 Ours To Keep ($6)

There are queries on the best in the markets and the price on this Munce-trained three-time winner are hard to pass up. He gets the run of the race from the barrier with Damian Browne aboard. Took out the Group 3 BJ McLachlan (1200m) at Eagle Farm last start by nearly two lengths and two weeks between runs looks ideal. A little forgotten by some punters, but money is starting to come so now is the time to back. Munce won the race three times as a hoop and looks a big hope to get the trophy from the other side of the saddle.

2nd

#8 Madeenaty ($7)

Lindsay Park-trained Exceed And Excel filly has had three starts for two wins and a third. Black-Type winner at Flemington on debut, Group 3 third next-up during the Melbourne Cup Carnival and then tested the right-handed way at Wyong. She won the MM Classic there well and impressed hoop Mark Zahra. Track no concerns and Zahra rides her again from the inside alley. Gets the winkers on and she’s a speedy filly who’ll be prominent right from the jump.

3rd

#10 Invincible Star ($8)

Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott-trained filly who races for the first time since her Group 3 Melbourne Cup Day win during November on debut. Has trialled twice since in Sydney including a 5.5 length Wyong win over 845m in late December. Should be fit and this way of racing suits. Wide draw makes it tough, but Waterhouse has prepared four previous winners of the race and knows what it takes.
