The line-up for this season’s $100,000 Listed Dalrello Stakes (1200m), set to run as Eagle Farm Race 4 at 1:47pm (AEST), is down to 10 after the early scratching of the Gerald Ryan-trained Condor Heroes.

Leading the updated Dalrello Stakes odds online at Ladbrokes.com.au is the firming market mover Snitzkraft ($2.05).

Approaching odds-on territory after drawing well in barrier two, the Kelso Wood-trained local Snitzel colt chases a third win on the trot.

He saluted over 1200m at Doomben in January by over eight lengths in a barnstorming performance before saluting at the Sunshine Coast later that month over the same distance.

Returning to racing on the weekend, the bookies are taking no chances with the progressive juvenile who could be set for a distance test on June 10 back at Eagle Farm in the $600,000 Group 1 J.J. Atkins (1600m) over the mile.

Luke Dittman continues his association with Snitzkraft this Saturday and the horse gets the blinkers back on after looking green for his Sunshine Coast win back on January 8.

Close second elect in Dalrello Stakes betting at $2.90 is the Chris Munce-trained stakes winner Ours To Keep who is also first-up in the early Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival lead-up.

The Seidnazar colt enjoyed three straight wins last preparation including the Listed Phelan Ready Stakes (1100m) win over Snitzkraft at Doomben.

After that Ours To Keep stepped up in grade and posted a nearly two length victory over Goodfella at Eagle Farm on New Year’s Eve in the Group 3 B.J. McLachlan (1200m) before a ninth behind Houtzen in the Gold Coast’s $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m).

Undefeated fresh winning both of his first-up assignments to date, Ours To Keep enjoyed a trial win on April 18 bringing him on for Saturday’s run.

Just one other two-year-old is currently under $10 for the win with Capital Gain ($9).

Along with Snitzkraft, this Paul Butterworth-trained Ad Valorem gelding is the other best of the Dalrello Stakes hopes in futures JJ Atkins betting for 2017.

Capital Gain has enjoyed just the one win to date over 1200m at the Gold Coast in early March and was last seen crossing fourth as the beaten favourite at Doomben on April 15.

Showing plenty of promise, the up-and-comer is still green and is likely to be better suited to the roomer Eagle Farm track on Saturday.
