After earlier rain throughout the week, the Brisbane forecast for Saturday racing has scattered showers scheduled for late in the afternoon meaning the current Soft (6) Doomben track rating is set to stay.

Brisbane racing gets underway on Doomben 10,000 Day at 12:15pm (AEST) and continues through until the Queensland Derby bound three-year-olds face off in the last – the 2017 Rough Habit Plate closing the card at 4:39pm (AEST).
The big one the punters are waiting for is scheduled for Race 7 when the revamped 2017 Doomben 10,000 takes place and there are 13 remaining runners after the scratching of the Darren Weir-trained duo Sooboog (4) and El Divino (11).
The other key Doomben race on the program is Race 4 when the two-year-olds heading towards the JJ Atkins face off in the 2017 Champagne Classic, three youngsters out of that leaving 11 runners.
