Five times Group 1 winner Black Heart Bart remains the uncontested favourite for the Group 1 $1m Darley Goodwood (1200m) at Morphettville today.

Even though the Darren Weir trained Black Heart Bart has drifted out slightly in the betting this morning, he still remains at the top of the Ladbrokes.com.au market order at $3.80.

On the second line of betting at $5.50 is the well supported former West Australian trained Vega Magic who will be stepping out for the first time the Lindsay Park Team of David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig.

Also well in commission for The Goodwood is the Mick Price trained Robert Sangster Stakes winner Secret Agenda at $7.50.

Weir is confident that he has Black Heart Bart in great shape for is first up assignment and Brad Rawiller will give the big bay every chance to make it back to back in wins in The Goodwood.

Black Heart Bart will be having his first run back since claiming his fifth Group 1 trophy with his win in the $500,000 italktravel Futurity Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on February 25.

“He is in great shape,” Weir told racing.com.

“He has had quite a lot of work in the last two to three weeks. Had a very strong gallop on Tuesday morning.”

“Brad Rawiller went down and rode him and he worked with a stablemate of ours and worked very well so he is in the right shape going there Saturday and drawn the same barrier as what he did last year.”

“So hopefully we can get the same result.”

Secret Agenda with Damien Oliver in the saddle again is looking for a hat trick of wins when she lines up in The Goodwood which is over the same course and the Group 1 $1m Robert Sangster Stakes that she dominated from the front last start.
