A host of Gold Coast Magic Millions-bound gallopers will do battle at Wyong Racecourse on Thursday including in the Wyong Magic Millions 3YO & 4YO Stakes 2017.

Due to run as Race 4 at 3:05pm (AEDT), this season’s $100,000 Wyong Magic Millions 3YO & 4YO Stakes (1200m) field has attracted a small line-up of just seven hopefuls.

Leading the latest Wyong Magic Millions 3YO & 4YO Stakes odds on the set weights clash at Ladbrokes.com.au is the ultra-consistent Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott-trained Arbeitsam.

Quoted odds-on at $1.85, the Snitzel four-year-old is first-up and racing for the first time since taking his winning streak to three on the trot with success in Hawkesbury’s Listed Rowley Mile (1600m) back on August 24.

Arbeitsam has had two subsequent trial including a lead-up winning hitout by three lengths over 1030m at Rosehill on December 8 and looks the one to beat fresh on Thursday with previous winning form at Wyong carrying weight (59.5kg) from the winter.

The dangers looking at the Wyong Magic Millions 3YO & 4YO Stakes betting markets this summer are the rails-drawn Redouble ($4.20) and Single Bullet ($4.60).

Bjorn Baker saddles-up Redoute’s Choice four-year-old Redouble from barrier one, the gelding back down in distance after a close last start fourth in a 1400m Randwick race just last weekend.

Redouble carted a hefty 60kg in that Benchmark 82 and was only a length beaten, so at set weights even on the quick back-up looks a livewire chance on Thursday.

Single Bullet meanwhile is one of two three-year-olds in the field heading towards the Gold Coast’s Restricted Listed $2 million Magic Millions 3YO Guineas (1400m) on January 13.

A $51 chance in pre-field Magic Millions 3YO Guineas odds at Ladbrokes.com.au for next month’s classic, the Gary Portelli-trained Not A Single Doubt colt is out to atone for a luckless last first-up from December 9 at Rosehill.

Single Bullet copped a number of bad checks during his resuming run, prior to which he finished second three times on the trot in Sydney over the spring in good company.

The other 2018 Magic Millions 3YO Guineas-bound youngster in the Wyong lead-up on Thursday is the Team Hawkes-trained Wild Heart, also a $51 outsider in the futures markets for the January clash.

A lightly-raced Hinchinbrook gelding, Wild Heart pays $10 to salute in an upset this week in his first run since crossing under two lengths back fourth behind Shogun Sun at Randwick on August 5.

The other $10 shot for Thursday is Senor Gaudi in gate four coming off a string of nice runs.

In-form Morphettville horseman Lloyd Kennewell saddles-up the Master Of Design four-year-old who won at Gawler two back before a last start third from November 25 in the $100,000 Magic Millions 3YO & 4YO Classic (1100m) at Ballarat.
