First acceptances have closed for this year’s richest three-year-old mile race for fillies as 110 fillies look to earn a spot in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield on October 12.

Three of Godolphin’s top juveniles occupy the first two lines of all-in Thousand Guineas betting at Ladbrokes.com.au as Group 3 Quezette Stakes winner Exhilarates remains the only single-priced favourite.
Further down, Group 1 Blue Diamond winner Lyre makes up a strong hand for trainer Anthony Freedman, while the James Cummings-trained Flit, who finished runner-up in the Silver Shadow Stakes last month, completes Godolphin’s talented trio.
As of Tuesday, the blue colours make up 12 of the first acceptors for the Thousand Guineas 2019 as Kiamichi remains a $21.00 chance with Ladbrokes.com.au after running fifth in last week’s Furious Stakes.
The Chris Waller-trained Funstar, who returned to the races to run second at Benchmark 72 level last week at Randwick, is perhaps the biggest threat to Godolphin’s chances this year. The three-year-old is a proven wet track specialist despite having never raced in Melbourne.
As for the withdrawals, Loving Gaby is the most notable absentee alongside Villami and Anaheed.
Loving Gaby has also been withdrawn from the Caulfield Guineas 2019 at first acceptance stage.
