One of the biggest events on the Australian racing calendar takes place as the highlight of The Championships Day 2 at Royal Randwick on Saturday, and below we have our insider Queen Elizabeth Stakes 2023 best bets and tips on the $5 million classic.
A star-studded field of weight-for-age champions faces off in the 2023 Queen Elizabeth Stakes with betting at Ladbrokes.com.au narrowly led by UK raider Dubai Honour coming off a huge first-up win down under in the Ranvet.
The Aussies will be cheering on the Godolphin-raced local hope Anamoe who is out to take his Group 1 wins into double-figures with the nine-time elite level winning four-year-old in flying form and rock-hard fit.
They gap the rest of the field in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes betting markets opening up value for any other to score an upset including the Japanese visitor Unicorn Lion ($11), Anamoe’s last start Australian Cup winning stablemate Cascadian ($11), and maybe even David Payne’s classy Group 1 winning mare Montefilia ($19).
Check out our exclusive Queen Elizabeth Stakes tips below before heading to Ladbrokes.com.au to lock in your selections on the biggest race down under this weekend.

Favourite: #2 Dubai Honour ($2.45 at time of publish) – BET NOW
William Haggas prepared Addeybb for back-to-back Queen Elizabeth wins in 2020 and 2021, and now the UK horseman returns and brings a very smart horse to the table. Dubai Honour put the writing on the wall with a barnstorming debut down under winning the Ranvet Stakes at the distance by a tearaway four lengths. Has the benefit of that run and will only be improving off that. The Ranvet is the right form race to follow into this. That said, could he have just freakishly peaked first-up at Rosehill? Will he want the 2000m at Randwick again? And can Tom Marquand produce the same sort of ride as Ryan Moore? The favourite is pretty short. Could be value on the second line of betting.

The Danger: #1 Anamoe ($2.60 at time of publish) – BET NOW
The markets suggest a two-horse battle to the line between Dubai Honour and Godolphin gun Anamoe who also won a Group 1 at Rosehill last time out when producing another perfectly-timed performance in the George Ryder over 1500m. He has been building all prep, is unbeaten this time in, and now looks ready for his Grand Final. Rock-hard fit James Cummings’ star four-year-old should relish the 2000m fourth-up with J. Mac in the saddle as always. Strap in for a Queen Elizabeth for the ages!

Roughie Of The Race: #4 Cascadian ($11 at time of publish) – BET NOW
Godolphin could have two in the finish with Cascadian at a nice price to finish near his younger stablemate. The evergreen eight-year-old has been excellent his last two in Melbourne bringing in some superior form lines form down south. Two back he ran an eye-catching second in the $5 million The All-Star Mile at The Valley. Mr Brightside won that then successfully defended his Doncaster Mile title here in Sydney last weekend. Cascadian meanwhile backed-up and won the Group 1 Australian Cup (2000m) at this distance at Flemington. Barrier five and Ben Melham here, the old guy has plenty of form at Randwick and can surprise a few at a price.
