Racing NSW has announced the Top 10 votegetters ahead of next month’s $5 million All-Star Mile (1600m) on March 16.
The headline acts at Flemington include Godolphin’s Group 1 Coolmore Legacy winner Alizee, who prepares for a second-up run this weekend in the Futurity Stakes. Grunt will also join the four-year-old after the New Zealand galloper claimed the Group 1 Makaybe Diva Stakes last September.
Amphitrite, who is now a member of the Lindsay Park team, will also resume following last weekend’s Group 3 win in the Vanity Stakes. Urban Ruler is the only Queensland horse to make the final field so far, while Happy Clapper, fresh from yet another runner-up to Winx last weekend, has also been announced as the first Wildcard entrant.
Other horses of note include WA’s Material Man. With $1.6 million worth of prize-money won, the seven-year-old veteran leads the way in total earnings among the Top 10.
