Progressing to second behind Chance To Dance in the Craig Opie Cup (1600m), The United States made a competitive transition to black type racing when second in the Group 3 Naturalism Stakes (2000m) on September 19th; running a luckless sixth in the Group 3 JRA Cup (2040m) in his only other start prior to the Moonee Valley Cup on October 2nd.
Leading Hong Kong hoop Joao Moreira has been confirmed to take the ride on The United States in the 2015 Melbourne Cup and will leave from the ideal barrier 3 with a very manageable 52.5kgs in tow.
