Leaning to the unraced form here. CHISHOLM (8) is a filly by I Am Invincible out of a G1 Lightning Stakes winner in Switzerland. There aren't many better pedigrees for sprinting and CHISHOLM has looked the part with an easy trial win in Sydney. Expecting a big debut. WITHIN THE LAW (11) has also trialled well in NSW behind the talented North England who ran well at G3 level in Sydney on debut. Expecting that trial form to hold up. GRAMMY'S SUNSHINE (9) is a filly by Earthlight who looked good winning a Horsham jump out. Can run well. ROHESIA (10) is a filly by Hanseatic on debut for the Hayes yard, who ran the trifecta in the 2yo race on Cup day. Must respect. LATIN BOSS (3) is another Hayes debutant who has jumped out well and can win.

Race comments
SERPENTINE (1) ran a much better race in the G2 Moonee Valley Gold Cup last start when working home well to finish within half a length of Okita Soushi, who ran a cracking 3rd in the Melbourne Cup. He's hard to catch when he's out and rolling and McDonald on is a big positive. AMADE (3) was solid in the G3 Geelong Cup last time having run a big race here prior in the G3 Bart Cummings. He's a tough old stayer who will be hard to hold out if he jumps away cleanly. Big watch on KINESIOLOGY (7) who was scratched from Tuesday to run here. He was given a genuine all-in chance in the Melbourne Cup which can't be said for any of these. Very wary. BERKELEY SQUARE (2) continues to race well and should be hard to hold out. STAR VEGA (8) next best.

Race comments
REY MAGNERIO (4) has been excellent without winning at his past couple, flashing late to be beaten the barest of margins by Estriella & Maharba, the latest here on Derby Day. He still rates very highly and can repay the faith. NADAL (9) won very well in fast time last start at Caulfield over 1100m. He looks capable of going through the grades and he's right up to winning at this level already. FRONT PAGE (1) led at a fast tempo in The Kosciuszko and was just no match late. His second-up record is some query but he's a talented sprinter who will be hard to catch on his preferred dry ground. MOBY DICK (14) beat NADAL here fresh and has been around the mark since. BARBER (6) next best.

Race comments
FIRESTORM (14) was heavily backed in the G3 Tesio Stakes at Moonee Valley last time but was a bit disappointing when fifth, having run well when back to a mile in the G1 Epsom prior. Like her getting to Flemington from a nice draw with Lane sticking. QUICKSTER (6) has been good in two runs back, hitting the line nicely in the G3 Angst over 1600m at Randwick last time out. She looks set to peak getting to 2000m third up. HINGED (7) has been incredibly costly, given very little chance in the Angst two back when running on well before another good effort last week in the G3 Rosehill Gold Cup. McDonald going on could be the difference she needs. LITTLE MIX (9) has been good in two runs back and looks ready to fire. PRIVATE LEGACY (10) can improve.

Race comments
The first of three outstanding Group 1 races. It's hard to go past BELLA NIPOTINA (5) who is in career best form, tough when wide throughout to win The Everest two back before getting a sweet trail and coming away to win easily last time. Small query is her record down the straight but she's been an absolute marvel of late and looks a fair gamble. OVERPASS (2) was a very strong winner of the G2 Sydney Stakes first-up and arguably would've gone close in The Everest, winning in quicker time than that race. GIGA KICK (1) was excellent third-up in The Everest when charging into 2nd behind Bella. He's a proven straight track performer who looks back to something like his best. SUNSHINE IN PARIS (6) is a classy mare who could suit the straight. BARAQIEL (4) can acquit himself well off a strong G2 win.

Race comments
Fantastic race. FANGIRL (10) is interesting. She struggled off the hot tempo set by PRIDE OF JENNI last time out but hits this race fourth-up and fresher than most. She was given far too much to do when fourth in this race last year, and there's a chance she gets a more comfortable tempo to show her turn of foot this time. ANOTHER WIL (6) can win. He started $2.20 in the G1 Toorak two starts back but bounced back to win the G2 Damien Oliver very well last time. He's on the backup here and draws to stalk and dash, which he did last week. MR BRIGHTSIDE (1) has had five runs this time in and continues to front up and run well. 1600m suits, it's just whether he's over the top. PRIDE OF JENNI (9) loses regular rider Declan Bates who has managed her very well. It'll be interesting to see how fast Melham goes in front. She's had some tough runs of late and could be needing a break, but she's hard to write off because she's outstanding when on.

Race comments
It's impossible to tip against VIA SISTINA (10) who was breathtaking in the G1 Cox Plate, producing one of the best wins ever seen in Australia in ridiculously fast time. She likely regresses off that, but even her best form prior would have her a clear favourite. If she's not flat off that run, she should just win. ATISHU (11) won this last year off a slashing run in the Empire Rose and returns off a win in that race on Saturday. She's a top mare who should run well. ELIYASS (6) faded in the G1 Caulfield Cup but had been very well backed to beat VIA SISTINA in the G1 Turnbull Stakes prior and back to 2000m suits. He can take catching, as can DENY KNOWLEDGE (12) who tried hard in the Caulfield Cup off a good win at G1 level prior. ROYAL CHAMPION (8) will be fitter again and can get into the finish.

PISANELLO (10) resumed with a very sharp win at Warwick Farm over 1000m, recording some slick late splits to win as a short-priced favourite. McDonald sticks, 1100m suits, the little niggle is the inside draw. KEENAN (5) resumes as a gelding. He's shown stakes level ability in his short career but has had issues with bone chips removed. He's worth keeping safe. SHESALLSHENANIGANS (7) resumes. She's a stakes winner over this route and was racing well without threatening some classy gallopers last time in. She looks a big each way price early. NAVAL ACADEMY (9) is flying with back to back wins and maps for a nice trailing run out wide here. ALONG THE RIVER (4) was dominant last time and can measure up.

ANGLAND (9) gets the nod in the opener having gone to Murray Bridge and won dominantly last start over 1400m. He's always promised very good ability and being by a Derby winner in Ace High, he should relish getting to 1600m for the first time. Big watch on BLANCHLAND (3) who makes his Australian debut. His UK form is over further but he's got the ability and has looked good at the jump outs. Creates interest and can run well. NATION'S CALL (1) was a tough winner fresh at Moe over this trip after being well backed. Fitter and maps ideally, no reason he can't win again. CEERSEVEN (6) was better second up at Moonee Valley and could sneak into the finish. ANAHITA (7) gets McDonald on and can improve.
