Jockey James McDonald gave the Blue Diamond graduate a lovely ride back in the field with cover before making a move to charge home down the outside, hit the lead at the 200m and hold on for the important win.

Worth $300,000 in prize money, the Group 2 race is a great lead up race to the Group 1 Golden Slipper Stakes (1200m) with the winner of the Reisling Stakes winner exempt from ballot for the $5 million event.

The 2YO Slipper lead-ups are notoriously hard to tip, but after going through these fillies have come back to the favourite Tempted who has been tested and didn’t place but also didn’t lose too many admirers in elite level company further south last start.
